Student Leadership Council Mission
Our mission is to empower students to discover their unique leadership potential and provide education on the necessary skills and traits of a quality leader, while supporting student leaders in bringing their new skills into practice.
The Student Leadership Council is a small, selective group of top notch students at UL-Lafayette. Students apply and are selected annually to serve on the Council. This group functions as sort of a “think tank” for ideas that will enhance the quality of our campus and the experience of our students. SLC focuses on Leadership Development, Campus Enhancement, and improving the Quality of the Student Experience. Some of the programs that have been begun as past projects of the SLC include: Emerging Leaders Summit, Mission Transition, Student Organization Week, and Ragin’ Recognition.
